Information

Siori made her debut in 2006 under stage name siori with the independent single "Smile" which was used as the commercial song for Ito En's "Hanacha" and NTV's program 24 HOUR TELEVISION "LOVE SAVES THE EARTH". In the year 2007, she signed with EMI Music Japan and changed her stage name to Siori (しおり - written in Hiragana). Siori released her first major single "Heart Flower / Yakusoku" on August 8th of the same year. "Heart Flower" was used as the ending theme for TBS's program Hitachi Sekai Fushigi Hacchen! while "Yakusoku" is the commercial song for Ryukyu Jusco's "My Bag Campaign". The single only reached #143 on the Oricon charts and charted for 2 weeks but her second major single, "Smile / Kimi no Kasa" is a little more successful by reaching #115 and charting for 4 weeks. Siori released her debut album "Aozora" on July 2nd, 2009, concluding her first chapter.

In December 2008, she released her third single "Towa / sweety". "Towa" which was re-mastered from her second independent single, was used as the theme song for the drama Oyasumi. However, the drama tie-in didn't help the single to have a better Oricon charts performance, the single only reached #150 and charted for one week. In the year 2009, she collaborated with Tokita Shintarou of Sukima Switch for her fourth single. "Bokura no Umi / Futari no Yakusoku" was scheduled to be released on June 17th, 2009.
