STAR is the 11th album released by A-Mei and first released under EMI Music. Like her previous album, this one was another mainstream success. "Yǒngyuǎn De Kuài Lè" was used in the Taiwan Beer Commercials and was the first single off the album. Preorder editions of the album included an 8cm single with the song "Shuí Ài Wǒ". The album was later released in CD+DVD edition, which included 80 minutes of live performances.
