"Tokyo" (とうきょう) is the debut single released by Hirakawachi-Itchome. It was released in two versions: a limited edition that was packaged in a paper case and a regular edition that was packaged in a standard jewel case. The single reached #23 on the Oricon weekly chart and charted for sixteen weeks, selling 44,482 copies.
"Tokyo" (written in the Roman alphabet) was later self-covered as the duo's twelfth and final single in 2008, tentatively called "Tokyo 2008" (とうきょう2008). It was released in two versions: a limited CD+DVD edition and a regular CD only edition. The new recording was transposed down from a key of C minor to E minor to accommodate Naojiro's voice change from puberty. The 2008 single reached #43 on the Oricon weekly chart and charted for two weeks, selling 2,183 copies.
