"tornado (outside)" is an electronic pop song recorded by Kahimi Karie, and produced by Tomoki Kanda. It is the opening to her fourth full length LP Trapéziste. The song is one of two sister tracks with "tornado (inside)", which is placed towards the end of the record. It is one of the three songs on the record to feature vocals from Riki Domen, who would also work on Montage. The song was written and recorded in English.
In Trapéziste's album notes details the "tornado" tracks as references to The Wizard of Oz. Describing them as "a psychedelic adventures in a dream, and the love for your hometown". It's something that could look harmless, but actually be completely destructive. [1]
