After looking at these Senki Zesshou Symphogear pages I'm majorly confused!! I saw these pages: the video and it's connected soundtrack. Both of these page share all of the same information, they are actually part of the same release. There is no need to two separate pages!
Hi, the soundtracks comes in the limited editions of these video releases. I put a link to the soundtrack on the BD/DVD, since for example those of the first season were included is another release.
They are not separate release though right? The Soundtrack and Character Singles come with the Limited Edition? I moved two of the soundtracks into their DVD pages: here and here.
If they are apart of the same release, all the information should be included on one page. Most of the pages I looked at had the exact same Catalog Numbers for both the Soundtrack and Video release.
Hello, I see that the information section on Kurosaki Maon was copy and pasted directly from her wikipedia page without any citations or even effort to change or make it original. All the biographies must be written by the editors themselves through research and their own wording. If I see any page that has been plagiarized, I WILL REVERT those changes. Don't be so shameless as to copy other's works even if you do not have the capacity to do it on your own.
Here's some reading material for you:
- wikipedia:Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Addressing plagiarism
- Don't know what plagiarism is? Here you go: [1]
I took as a base the wikipedia and from there I went editing. It is not copied every word by word to be modified by me, the ALTIMA group can not say that it is a copy because I started looking for information and complete with their training, their launches and hiatus. From the three consecutive albums you can not say that it is a copy word for word. I have seen many other sections of information from other artists who also have copied many things from the wikipedia and are still there...
I was confused about "One in a Billion". It looks like May'n performs the song with Wake Up, or does one artist perform each track?
The both songs included on the single are a collaboration between Wake Up, Girls! and May'n
Wake Up, Girls! = http://jpop.wikia.com/wiki/Wake_Up,_Girls!
In the music video you can see to May'n singing with Wake Up, Girls!; in the digital platforms both songs are credited as "Wake Up, May'n!" for the collaboration.
So this release is not a split single. The single was placed under her collaboration section on the Japanese wiki.
Do you understand why we use italics and quotations to indicate releases? I feel like I've explained it many times as to what gets one and what gets the other, but maybe you don't understand why we do it? It's not a user preference, it is part of English grammar. Long releases are written in italics and shorter works are written in quotations. Concerts, Live Events, and Tours are not releases and do no receive either (a concert DVD would be put into Italics). This site lists which should be used for what kind of works.
I'm sorry, those pages were created from another that had errors and I didn't realize them, as soon as I can modify them. Sorry
Please do. I kept bringing it up because I fear that other new users do the same thing, copy an incorrect format from a page and use that as a template. You are a key contributor so we need to continue to set an example. Aside from the Oricon chart, I usually type out the code for each page I create.
All discography of TRUE has been changed, could you review any of the pages to see if any other bug that I do not see?. In some pages I did enough editions because I was realizing some other error while I was editing them. In the coming days I will be changing more pages, and sorry for the inconvenience caused.
They are actually more incorrect now. Longs works get itiaclis and short works get quotations. I listed some references for you in previous commments. I can edit the page tomorrow when I get home and show you what is wrong if you're still not understanding.
Also if we're going to count TRUE singles separately we should stop putting the overall single number, since we are treating them like different artists.
Wow, I don't know how you did all her pages so fast! I'm jealous!! I feel like I take forever lol. I went through "Unisonia" up to "Dear Answer" and made edits.
- This is a good reference for which titles get italics or quotations.
I have seen all your changes in the pages you told me, but it was not very clear to me if the title of the song or album in information is put with " or with '. I thought I had understood that puts with these '.
Long works (albums, mini-albums) get ''Title'' which shows as italics on the page. Short works (singles and songs) get "Title" the quotations
Sorry I could not comment before. Now if it's clear to me, I used to make a mistake, because I understood that everyone was wearing the same type of quotation marks, and I feel the inconvenience caused by the mistakes I made in modifying the last pages. In the coming days I hope to have more time to modify the pages with errors of this type.
Please stop making song titles look like "Soundscape" in the Disambiguation, they should use read like the regular title "Soundscape". I corrected the TRUE pages a couple months ago and I see you went and added them back in again. I've reverted them back.
Please do not delete pages and copy and paste the information and create a new one with a new name. Simply move the page to the correct name. Thank you
Why not? The real title of 2NE1 last digital single is Annyeong, Goodbye is only the English translation, that way the other page is free for another song. Same for the cover page, that the version I uploaded was bigger than the one you left.
Then you upload the bigger version to the one already uploaded. Moving a page does not constrict the use of the page you moved from. Others can still use that page if need be. Also, there would be no other use for the page "Goodbye (2NE1)". Please do this from now on.
Reiterating, if there is an upload there is no need to to delete it and upload again. Simply upload the correct image over it. There is a way to delete the previous image without deleting the entire post.
But if the format of the image changes, I haven't seen another way to change a PNG to JPG than creating a new file and deleting the previous one. There any way to change the format?
Revenantsoulx3 there is no reason for all of that. If someone has a high quality image they shouldn't have to reformat. If you have a higher quality image, upload the new image with the correct categories and delete the old images or ask a mod to delete them. Samy you did the right thing by adding in the higher quality images on "Just You and I". Recently we started adding Year categories to the Images so I added the Category:2017 Images to them.
There's no reason to delete an image, though. That's like deleting a page and making your own.
You should MOVE the image and put the correct format on there instead of deleting it.
Also I would've replied to you directly, but it won't let me.
There is no reason to be territorial over an image. It's obvious that the preference is to upload over the same image. If someone has a better quality image in a different format, they should be able to upload it. Often changing formats can reduce the quality of an image. We should be worried about duplicate pages/images here.
For some reason my talk page doesn't work :(
Please, when uploading new versions of images, use the "Upload a new version of this file" link, in order to prevent duplicated images. Thank you. Also remember to categorize images!
is that when I give to "Upload a new version of this file" and still does not put them with the above, OK.
That's probably because you you change the destination filename, otherwise (unless it's a different format) you shouldn't have any problems. BTW, may I ask what's your first language? your posts remind me to a direct translation from Spanish to English.

Hello,
I wanted to let you know that when you refer to long works (albums, mini-albums, DVDs, blu-ray, books) you should put the title in italics (example SWEET 19 BLUES) and shorter works (singles, songs, chapters, article titles) should be put into quotations (examples "SWEET 19 BLUES").
Please try and be mindful of redundancy. I see a lot especially in the disambiguations sections. You had separate lines for the standard version of "MEMORIA" (one line with the single and a second line with the album appearance) and both lines stated that it was the standard version (we already know this cause they are the same version, which is why you have it listed together); separate the two onto two different lines isn't needed. There is also no reason to refer to the artists name every single line of a disambiguation, above it states it's part of their discography, so that information already implied. Also writing out something like "It is found as track #4 on the Limited Edition of the single" reads a lot better than "track #4 (Limited Pressing Edition Fate/Zero Edition Only)".
It is also redundant to refer to the full Edition and format every time. Instead say limited or CD+DVD and then clarify the editions below in the information section. Putting a Tag for record labels are not needed on release pages (her whole major career Aoi Eir has been with the same label). It would make more sense for an artist that release each record from a different level (example Kahimi Karie, but even here it's mention in the article).
I will take account the type of quotes to use, how to put the disambiguation and not repeat the same information over and over again.
About the singles you ask me in the last message are collaborations with many artists to promote the annual concert of Animelo Summer Live. I haven't yet had time to find all singles that there and put them in the pages of the other artists.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused.
No inconvenience was caused.
Okay I just couldn't find any information except for the concerts. So "Hajimare, THE GATE!!" is a single?
Yes, I leave you some links:
- Music Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JcCVLnsFNNw
- Lyrics: http://matsuurian.com/mcz/songs/hajimarethegate.htm
- Wikipedia: https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%83%8F%E3%82%B8%E3%83%9E%E3%83%AC,_THE_GATE!!
- iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/jp/album/hajimare-gate!!-animelo-summer/id1001481795
- Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.jp/%E3%83%8F%E3%82%B8%E3%83%9E%E3%83%AC%E3%80%81-Animelo-Summer-GATE-%E3%83%86%E3%83%BC%E3%83%9E%E3%82%BD%E3%83%B3%E3%82%B0/dp/B00YVEGUAA
The single brings the title track and the instrumental version, but in digital stores sold only the title track. Every year the company of the concert, Animelo, launches a new song (or remake) to promote the concert.
Okay so they form a group song for a release. Makes sense now, with the way it was written on the page I was confused. Thank you for the help :)
Please wait until you have the information to add it to pages. There is no reason to add "found on Around the TRUE as track #?" Just wait for the tracklist to be released instead of posting empty information.
Hi Samyvb28, I was looking over the Kurosaki Maon pages and I noticed a couple things. When there is only one version of the song there is no reason to add a disambiguation section. There is nothing to disambiguate it from.
We should also not be overloading pages. I'm finding a lot of extra images one pages that aren't needed. Definitely no more than one promotional picture is needed, and if there is not enough information on the page it does not need one.
So for Disambiguation pages I honestly think if its the normal song and it's instrumental, it doesn't really need a disambig is need either. Usually it's all on the same single so you're just regurgitating the information again. Also tagging it as the "Instrumental Version" is pretty self explanatory.
I just tried follow the same pattern of other pages, but I also think that how much less loaded is a page more easy to read. When the song comes on an album too, this section is created too?
About what images whenever I find a picture of better resolution / quality upload attempt, but always updating an existing image. I do not know if that was what you meant exactly with the pictures...
To disambiguate is to clarify what the different versions are. If there is one version, there is nothing to disambiguate. It should just be listed with the other information (example). I honestly think that there's also no reason for an instrumental, like it's pretty self explanatory. This page had a disambig for two version of the song (also repeated a lot of information about the CD\DVD release), but I worked it into the information section. It seemed unnecessary.
What I'm talking about is the overall size of the images. Meat (info) & bones (pics), if there isn't enough meat, then bones shouldn't be going. Does that make sense? An image should not be the only thing at the bottom of a page stretching it. This isn't an image gallery.
Also if we don't have the information, just leave it off the page. There is no reason to add "Song Information" then provide nothing. Usually this happens with new singles and we create the pages before it's released. But we should just wait until it is because you have to edit the page regardless. I've seen quite a few older pages floating around where that information never got filled (same with Oricon charts).
I'd like to remind you again that songs that don't have an instrumental, remix, or another version DO NOT need disambiguation.
So looking at a lot of pages I'm seeing a lot of songs and regular singles listed as "Digital Singles". Just because a song receives a digital release, does not make it a digital single (all songs are now digital releases). Let's look at Crystal Kay releases for instance; "Deaeta Kiseki" is a digital single and "Superman" is not. "Superman" is a normal single, and they released the A-side early via download.
No pasa nada, tranquilo ^^
Hi, the other day you added a lot of new releases for Korean artists, and I would like to know from what source did you get that information, because I've searched for it and nothing came up. Also it's extremely rare that an album of a Korean artist set to be released in July (After School) it's already announced. Please answer me the question, otherwise those date would be deleted. Thanks.
Searching the internet when 4Minute would return, I found a facebook page for some of the releases this year, now I haven't here the page where I found it, but when I get home I look at the history and tell you, I tell you tonight at the latest.
And that means no official source. You must realize that list is made by someone who runs a fansite for Girls Generation, and as he/she doesn't give a source for those dates, they MUST be removed.
OK!
Keep reverting mod changes, and you will be banned. Last warning.
Not to be pointy and specific, but Im not a mod xD
oh lulz, I'm totally on a different page than you hehehe...my bad ^^;
track number two of the crossroad of ayumi hamasaki go to their official website and see it and if you look down you see a little more information on single L. and because you delete the page alan's new single? you're'll know there will be a cd version and a cd + dvd and it is unknown if there will be more. SEARCH THE INFORMATION BEFORE DELETE AND CHANGE THINGS!! because then when you put your or another going to put the same thing.
Oh God, I'm not sure if I get what you are saying.
Let's see, alan's single was deleted because there's not enough info as to make a page (just catalog codes). Same reason goes for "L". Wait a little bit more and make the page when the info is released. It's easy.
About Ayumi's page. Japanese use タイトル未定 instead of our TBA.
You reverted that page again, reverting a mod change, and you had been warned, sorry but you won a ban for 1 week. Oh, and stop the capslock next time.
When your editing a page, down at the bottom of the page right next to the save button there is a button that says "show preview". Please use this, it allows you to see what the page looks like before you save it, that way you don't spam the recent changes. Also we don't copy from Wikipedia. That song information was, and we don't list our information the same as them.
I did not copy from wikipedia, went to his official website and there I found the section notified the album, and there is a url to the page where you mu-mo out of the new album information, you look at it. Will use it, do not worry. And look at the wikipedia p'ñagina from that I discovered what JPop Stop.
I have not a clue to what you are talking about. The Wikipedia coying I was talking about was on BoA's "Energetic". You had copied the information from the info box and placed it under "Song Information". But be sure to use the preview button, and don't revert mod edits on pages.
This isn't Wikipedia. Here, we use the stylizations that the artists/companies choose, so if a title is in all caps, then please do not change it to regular letter cases unless it was a mistake. Thank you.
