Yamamori Yuriko first auditioned for the Yuuyake Nyan Nyan contest "The Scout Idol wo Sagase!" under the name Amano Yuriko but lost to Ikuina Akiko. However, Yamamori didn't give up and auditioned for the Miss Seventeen Contest soon after. She passed the audition and became the forty-seventh member of Onyanko Club. Yamamori participated in the group's songs and the TV show Yuuyake Nyan Nyan. She was reported to have a bright personality and was well-liked by many of the other members.[1]
Yamamori Yuriko graduated from the group at their last concert on August 31, 1987. After graduating from Onyanko Club, Yamanori retired from the world of show business. She is still very close with former members Yoshizawa Akie and Watanabe Minayo. She still talks to them and even attended Watanabe Minayo's wedding reception banquet.[1]
