Yuri (百合) is a genre of manga and anime in Japan. The term focus on love and romance between girls or women. Yuri can contain sex scenes and other sexually explicit themes or just focus on romance. Unlike yaoi / shounen-ai there is only one term. Most yuri contains harem themes.
Popular yuri manga and anime include Maria-sama ga Miteru, Kannazuki no Miko, and Strawberry Panic!.
