Ji Young (지영) is a Korean pop singer, actress, and model. She is a former member of the girl group KARA.
She joined KARA after member Sung Hee decided to leave. At the time of her admission, she was only 14 years old making her the youngest member of the group. After six years with the group, she announced she would be leaving after her contract expired in April 2014. She performed with KARA for the last time at the 2013 MBC Gayo Daejejeon on December 31, 2013.
In 2014, she returned to show business in Japan under her name in kanji (知英) and under the agency Sweet Power and made her Japanese debut as a singer in March 2016 under the name JY. She has released three Japanese singles thus far.
Her first Japanese full-length album Many Faces ~Tamensei~ is released this week on May 10th.
