nil delete heads (ニルデリートヘッズ) was a Japanese visual-kei band from Tokyo that was formed on May 30, 2009 and disbanded on December 20, 2010.

Biography

nil delete heads promoting -barbaric mind- (2009).

nil delete heads was formed in late May of 2009 by vocalist, dachi (ex-Alumi Land). The band held multiple secret lives from May through June, the first two which took place on May 1st at IKEBUKURO CYBER and May 30th at Club Crawl in Shibuya and several others took place in Tokyo. The live information was only revealed to those who signed up through their mail magazine. The release of their debut mini-album, -barbaric mind- was available for pre-sale at Shinjuku RUIDO K4, this was also their activity startup and first sponsored event entitled, CYCLONE HEAD VOL.1 and for those who purchased their mini-album at the pre-release received a promotional video present of track #6 "Dumping↓DropShow". The band also embarked on their first tour, Beauty or Barbarity on August 13th which ranged from Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka. The mini-album went on sale nationwide on August 19th of the same year and was limited to 1,000 copies. The band played as the opening act on August 21st at Ikebukuro CYBER for the event, Jewel VS R-Shitei VS Lycaon and at OSAKA MUSE on September sixth, ninth at Nagoya ell.SIZE, tenth at Meguro Rokumeikan and finally the 21st at Takadanobaba AREA.

Starting in October, nil delete heads played at Urawa Narciss on the 23rd, the 30th at Tokyo Kinema Club. In November, the band played at Shinjuku RUIDO K4 on the 16th and the 19th at Shinjuku HOLIDAY. On December first, the band played at Takadanobaba AREA. The band started to organize an event entitled, CYCLONE HEAD vol: 2 with Like An Edison stores on December ninth and played at Ikebukuro CYBER, pre-sale for their first DVD Dumping↓DropShow was also available at the time too. Their first DVD was available for sale on the 16th, the band played at Takadanobaba AREA on the 21st and the 31s at Ikebukuro CYBER.

2010

To start the new year off, nil delete heads played at Meguro Rokumeikan on January eighth at the event, FOOL'S MATE × VISUNAVI PRESENTS DIG UP NEW STAR Stage.3, the ninth at Takadanobaba AREA at the event, Midnight Circus of Ordinal Mystery along with four other bands, the 18th at Shinjuku RUIDO K4 for Gakido's event entitled, - resonance -. Hosted by Visunavi was Mixed Candies Vol.18 ★ on February 2nd and the 11th at Ikebukuro RUIDO K3 , the 20th at Takadanobaba AREA and the 27th at Sun Ikebukuro BlackHole. On March 3rd the band played at Shinjuku RUIDO K4 and 23rd at Meguro Rokumeikan.

On the last day of March, the band had a release for their first single "mi;" which was a pre-sale at Shinjuku RUIDO K4, this was also the start of their event called, CYCLONE HEAD vol: 3, bands such as THE VELVET, GizeL, farcen and THOMAS also took part in this event. The band went on a small tour to accompany their new single entitled, mi; ~SPRING TOUR KEEP THE BEST, the following locations were at, Hamamatsu FORCE on the fourth of April, 17th at Osaka MUSE, 19th at Nagoya ell.SIZE and 28th at Ikebukuro BlackHole. A second event by Visunavi was held and called, Kantou Acid Deficiency GIGS which ranged from May 20th at Yokohama 7th Avenue to the finale on July 27th at HOLIDAY SHINJUKU. However, on May 28th, bassist Takumi left the band due to struggles between being a musician and his education.

nil delete heads held played at SHIBUYA DESEO on August 19th and held their first year anniversary on August 21st entitled, CYCLONE HEAD vol: 4, at this event their new bassist, Dai made his debut. Shortly after their new bassist joined, nil delete heads announced information for their new release of a mini-album, InvisiblΣ, which would be released on October 20th, the release came with a specific photoset from Brand-X, also there was a short tour called, Me ni Meiru. In September they played at HOLIDAY SHINJUKU on the 9th and at Ikebukuro RUIDO K3 on September 29th. The band participated in an event held by GALAXY in which bands such as, ALSDEAD, Shoud, Secilia Luna also joined them. The venues were Nagoya MUSIC FARM on October 3rd, 4th at Osaka FANJ twice, 9th at Hamamatsu FORCE and 12th at Ikebukuro BlackHole. With their new release of the mini-album,InvisiblΣ, this was also the start of a three part DVD live-distribution series, their first release was, INDIAN and only available if tickets were received when purchasing their mini-album through Like An Edison stores.

In late November nil delete heads held, CYCLONE HEAD vol.5 at Ikebukuro BLACK HOLE and distributed their second of a three part, "trilogy" DVD, Ike. The band held their final performance at Ikebukuro BLACK HOLE and released, Numa, along with the release, their guitarist Michiomi left the band causing their dissolution.
