ark is L'Arc~en~Ciel's sixth album, released simultaneously with ray. It reached #1 on the Oricon charts and sold 2,255,870 copies, becoming the #5 album of 1999. It charted for 25 weeks and sold a total of 2,274,920 copies.
ark 15th Anniversary Expanded Edition is a limited edition special reissue featuring new cover art and remastered tracks. It also comes with a bonus DVD containing making of music videos, live performances, and backstage footage from their "Inazuma London Hearts" performance originally broadcast on TV. Much like the original, it was released along with ray 15th Anniversary Expanded Edition. It reached #13 on the Oricon charts and charted for six weeks, with first week sales of 29,820 copies.
