Horn Yuki was born on December 16, 1950 in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture to an American father and a Japanese mother. Horn joined the chorus idol group The Chou à la Crème in 1970 after seeing her schoolmates becoming involved with show business. The group released three singles before calling quits in 1973, letting Horn Yuki pursue a solo career.

Horn Yuki first got involved with color gravure after The Chou à la Crème's disbandment. However, she quickly became an talento and actress, starring her first dorama Love Love Rival in 1973.

In 1979, Horn Yuki married actor Irikawa Yasunori. Horn Yuki retired from show business a little after her marriage and gave birth to three children. However, the couple divorced in 2004.
