"IDOL" is a song recorded by BTS. It was first released on their compilation album Love Yourself Gyeol 'Answer' as track #15. An alternative version, featuring Nicki Minaj, was included as a bonus track of the digital edition of the album. This version has an extra bridge rapped by her.

"IDOL" was used as theme song for their web series' third season, Run BTS!. It was also used as theme song for their traveling program Bon Voyage's third season.

On July 3rd, 2019 a Japanese version was released as a B-side on the single "FAKE LOVE / Airplane pt.2 and later on their fourth Japanese album MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 ~THE JOURNEY~ as track #6.

The music video for "IDOL" was released on August 24th, 2018, the same day as the release of the compilation album Love Yourself Gyeol 'Answer'. It became the most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours at the time. It also became the fastest to reach 100 million views in 2018 at that time.

The music video includes several references to Korean culture, traditions and stories.

On September 6th, 2018 another music video featuring Nicki Minaj was released. The theme is similar but it includes additional scenes featuring her, as well as a solo scene for her rapping part.
