Premire Issue (March 1995)

Manga Vizion was an American monthly manga magazine published by Viz Media. It was the first monthly manga anthology to be released in North America. The first issue made its debut onto the market in March 1995 with Samurai Crusader with art by Ikegami Ryoichi, Orge Slayer by Kusunoki Kei, and the short story "The Tragedy of P" by Takahashi Rumiko from her Rumic Theater anthology.
In the April 1995 issue A, A Prime was added by famed shojo manga-ka Moto Hagio, and would run about every other month swapping places with Orge Slayer. They would also go on to add Love Song and short stories by Nishi Keiko. These were the first shojo series to be released in North America. In 1998, during the fourth year of the magazine's run it had moved back to completely serializing shonen manga with Black Jack, and Spriggan, and Steam Detectives. The magazine would annouce it's final issue with Vol.4, No.8, leaving series such as Orge Slayer, Spriggan, and Black Jack incomplete. Steam Detectives however would move publication over to Viz's new manga anthology, Animerica Extra.
