Nishida Shiori first appeared as a member of Hello Pro Kenshuusei in an official website update on August 17, 2016, alongside fellow members Kawamura Ayano, Yokoyama Reina, Yoshida Marie, Yamazaki Yuhane, and Hashisako Rin. She made her first live appearance and was formally introduced the following month at the "Hello! Project Kenshuusei Happyoukai 2016 9gatsu ~SINGING!~" recital on September 4th.

Nishida was awarded the Judges Character Award on May 6, 2018 at the "Hello! Project Kenshuusei Happyoukai 2018 ~Haru no Koukai Jitsuryoku Shindan Test~" event afer performing "Golden Chinatown" by Berryz Kobo. On June 9, 2018 during the "Hello! Project Kenshuusei Happyoukai 2018 6gatsu ~Niji~" event in Tokyo, it was announced that Nishida would join the upcoming group featuring previously announced leader Ichioka Reina, along with Shimakura Rika and Eguchi Saya. The group was later revealed in October 2018 to be CHICA#TETSU; a sub-unit of main group BEYOOOOONDS.
