Ryokuoshoku Shakai was formed via four friends, three of which were classmates, in Aichi, Japan. They started their activities in 2012. In 2013, they came in second place during the SCHOOL OF LOCK x Sonymusic 10dai Ongaku Festival "Senkou Riot". Since then, they have released three limited venue singles and two mini-albums via Tower Records, and they sold out their November and December 2017 tour.

Their eponymous first full-length album is to be released on March 14th 2018.
