Sora wa Marude is the fourth studio album (second major label album) released by MONKEY MAJIK. "Sora wa Marude" was used as the image song for Yokohama Tire, for Coca-Cola Happy Music Summer Campaign 2009 and for the event Tori Ningen Contest 2007, and it was also used as the opening theme song for the TV program Tsuukai! Akashiya Denshidai. "No Snow In December" was used as Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles Karera no Subete Hen commercial song. "Kōchō" was used as the commercial song for Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles Ball Park ni Tsuretette !! Hen, Japan Airlines' Natsuyasumi Kazoku no Smile Campaign and Mazda 3, and it was also used as the opening theme song for the TV program Ohayou Call ABC. "Pretty People -Japanese ver.-" was used as the theme song for the event Arigatou! Odaiba 10-shuunen Boukenou 2007 and as the commercial song for Murasaki Sports. "Negai" was used as the commercial song for Appikougen Suki Jou. "Gandhara" was used as the insert song for the movie Saiyuki.

The album was certified Platinum by RIAJ for shipment of 250,000 copies.

The album reached #3 on the Oricon charts and charted for 26 weeks. Because it sold 257,032 copies in 2007, it became the #42 album of the year. In all, it sold 266,152 copies.
