"Strawberry Time" is Matsuda Seiko's 23rd single. It was released two years after "DANCING SHOES", her previous single, as in that time Matsuda married and gave birth to her daughter SAYAKA. The cover art includes a message by Matsuda: "Welcome to strawberry land, Peacefulness till eternity. All the people that passes by are filled with happiness. If you'd like to live this land, I'll give the secret map."
The single was re-released in CD format in 2004 including the instrumental tracks. It reached #1 on Oricon charts and sold 317,000 copies, becoming the #5 single of 1987. The re-edition CD reached #121 and charted for one week.
