Young Love is the 12th album released by Southern All Stars. It was released in three formats, CD, cassette and LP. Almost one year later it was reissued in MiniDisc format, being their first, and only, release in this format. The album's cover features the band members depicting the cover arts of albums by Western artists that had influenced them, these being:
- Kuwata Keisuke - Bob Dylan's Nashville Skyline
- Omori Takashi - The Beatles' Abbey Road
- Hara Yuko - It's a Beautiful Day's It's a Beautiful Day
- Sekiguchi Kazuyuki & Matsuda Hiroshi - The Rolling Stones' Their Satanic Majesties Request
- Nozawa Hideyuki - The Rolling Stones' Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out! The Rolling Stones in Concert
In addition, the cover also makes reference to Led Zeppelin's self-titled album.
The 2008 reissue was released as a limited edition housed in a digipack. The album reached #1 on Oricon charts, charted for 17 weeks, and sold around 2,494,000 copies in 1996 becoming the #7 album of the year. The 2008 reissue reached #121 on Oricon charts, and charted for one week.
