Information
D[di:] debuted in 2000 with her first comic Fantastic Silent which caught the attention of Hayao Miyazaki as well as impressing others. Then she released her sophomore comic Kigurumi, which was labeled a Novel-Comic and gained acclaim for starting a new literary genre.
Other than comic books D[di:] has dabbled in the music arts releasing two albums Dahlia and Fire Star Man and a single "Shiroi Kakera".
In Japan she holds art gallery exhibitions of her work. D[di:] has lent her talents to the monthly Gothic Lolita fashion magazine KERA by creating comic strips for them as well as being the illustrator and inserter for the 2003 film Josee, the Tiger and the Fish.
In 2008 she worked on the manga turned into film Goth, which she made the title background and was an inserter for the film.
In 2010 she worked on the American film Spilce by making set art and was an inserter for that film as well.
