"Manatsu no Valentine" is a pop song recorded by Hayashibara Megumi. This song was used as the radio single to promote Hayashibara's debut album. It is also one of her few songs that have recieved a music video. The music for the song was composed by Cozy Kubo, whom later in the 1990's became famous for his work with Komuro Tetsuya. The song first appears on Hayashibara's debut album Half and, Half as track #4. The song later was released onto Hayashibara's second best of album, VINTAGE A as track #10.
Music Video
The music video for "Manatsu no Valentine" starts off with Hayashibara Megumi walking around with a video camera, recording herself and co-works around the studio. The video then goes through a series of clips of Hayashibara dancing near the water on a beach and in the studio, working on the song.
