Baek Ji Young (백지영) is a South Korean pop singer. She is well known for her latin-flavored dance tracks, although in recent years she has developed her fanbase in ballads. In 2000 at the height of her popularity, she was involved in a sex scandal which hurt her career. It wasn't until 2006 with her album, Smile Again, that she experienced a rise in popularity thanks to the hit song, "사랑안해" (I Won't Love). In 2008, she underwent vocal cord surgery to remove a cyst.
