Amano Tsukiko promoting Chou (2003)

Amano Tsukiko (天野月子) is a female Japanesw rock artist under the Otokura and Pony Canyon record labels. She is probably best known for her songs "Chou" and "Koe", which were used in the Fatal Frame survival horror video games (themes for Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly and Fatal Frame III: The Tormented respectivly).

Profile

  • Name: Amano Tsukiko (天野月子)
  • Birthday: November 18th
  • Interests: Music, Art, Photography, books.
  • Instruments: Piano and Guitar.

Information

Amano's love for music started at the age of five when she took up piano. While in school, she entered music clubs and eventually came into the spot light when she joined a theater group. She bought her first guitar in High School (which she still plays now). She once recorded her songs on a tape and sent it to one of her friends which got onto the hands of Otokura Records. They called Amano and appreciated her work. She found a band at that time herself, but unfortunately, it failed. Later, she released Hakoniwa, Love Dealer and B.G ~Black Guitar + Berry Garden~ under the Pony Canyon indie label as Amano Tsukiko, even though she didn't come into spot-light until her first major debut single Bodaiju in November of 2001. In the year 2007, she left Pony Canyon and returned independent. In Autumn 2008, Amano retire from her singing career but she is still writing songs for other artists.

Amano writes her songs as well as designing her clothes for her promotional videos. She is also skilled in guitar and loves to draw. She also has an online web-comic illustrated by herself. Her style of art is rather grotesque and abstract. Amano is quite popular in Japan which could clearly be seen at the opening of her Album A MOON CHILD IN THE SKY in 2005.
