"Fuyu no Opera Glass" is Nitta Eri's first single. It is also the first single to reach #1 on the Oricon charts for four weeks, selling 320,000 copies. She would be the only idol singer to have her first single to reach #1 on the charts till 1994 when Uchida Yuki achieved this. The single also reached #13 on the yearly Oricon chart for 1986. The title song was used as the ending theme song for the program Naruhodo! The World.
