Alice Nine (VANDALIZE)

alice nine. (アリス九號.) is a major Japanese rock band of the visual-kei variety. After the dissolving of the members former bands, Alice Nine was started by Nao (ex-RusH, ex-Fatima) in April of 2004. On September 1st, 2004 the band joined PS COMPANY, a well known visual-kei and oshare-kei label and production company, and changed name to alice nine. (アリス九號.). Since signing a deal with KING RECORDS sometime before the release of Kasou Musou Shi in 2005, alice nine. became a major band. Since becoming major, the band has gradually toned down and matured their visual look.

Biography

The band was started by Nao (ex-RusH, ex-Fatima) in April of 2004 as a session band called ALICE Nine (アリス九). Their first live concert was held a month later on May 19 at Takadanobaba AREA. alice nine. rewrote their name to アリス九號, and on July 5th the band released their debut single Namae wa, Imada Nai.. In the middle of the month they had a coupling tour with Ayabie that hit 5 stops. One month later on July 11th, a second pressing of the debut single was released. The now previously session band became a full-fledged band on July 24th, rewrote their name (again) as アリス九號., and would join PS COMPANY on September 1st. After becoming a signed band, alice nine. had a nation wide coupling tour with Karen in November. About three quarters through the tour, they released the mini album Gion Shouja no Kane ga Naru on the 17th.
