It was released on March 14, 2007 with the catalogue number VPCC-81558. It was the band's first album to place on the [[Oricon]] charts, reaching a peak of five upon its debut, and remaining there for seventy-eight weeks. It was certified gold in by gold by the RIAJ, selling 100,000 units in Japan and 250,000 units internationally.
 
  
The tracks "What's up, people?" and "Zetsubou Billy" were used respectively as the opening and ending themes for the popular anime series ''Death Note'' (episodes 20-37). The track "Akagi" was also used as the ending theme for the anime of the same name (episodes 1-13).
