Information

"Chou HAPPY SONG" is the collaboration first digital single released by Berryz Kobo and °C-ute. "Because happiness" and "Shiawase no Tochuu" were originally released on Berryz Kobo's Ai no Album 8 and °C-ute's Dainana Shou "Utsukushikutte Gomen ne", respectively. When Tsunku wrote on his blog comments for both albums he mentioned there was a "secret" for both songs. (1 2) After someone uploaded a version combining the two songs to YouTube, a version of this combined song was uploaded to the Mokebimasu channel on April 16th and was later released digitally.

Over a month later, the single was officially announced to be sold physically on June 20th making it the second single released by the collaborative Berryz Kobo & °C-ute. It includes a new version of "Chou HAPPY SONG" and the original mix as well the split songs by the respective groups. Edition C have both of the split songs sung by Berryz Kobo while Edition D has °C-ute singing both tracks.
