Dream Girl: The Misconceptions of You is the first part of SHINee's third Korean album. The album was divided into two chapters, the second one, Dream Girl: The Misconceptions of Me, was released in April and contained 9 different songs, for a total of 18 tracks. The song "Dream Girl" was used as lead track.
Fans were able to hear short previews of "Dynamite" and "Bangbaek (Aside)" weeks before the actual release date by watching SHINee's MBC special TV show "SHINee's Wonderful Day". Sneak peaks from both chapters were played to 100 music reviewers during a special album release premiere event titled "SHINee Music Spoiler" on February 14th, the response was said to be very warm.
