Friends is the fourth mini-album released by B'z. It reached #1 on the weekly Oricon charts and charted for thirty weeks, selling over a million copies. The mini-album reached #6 on the yearly Oricon charts for 1993. The lead song, Itsuka no Merry Christmas, proved to be a popular holiday ringtone and was eventually certified Double Platinum in 2011 by the RIAJ for ringtone downloads of over 500,000. Additionally, the song was certified Gold for full song cellphone downloads of over 100,000.
