Information

She debuted as a voice actress in 1999 in a drama CD released by Enix (then called Square-Enix) titled Toki no Daichi. She debuted as singer in 2009 by releasing her first single "Day by Day / Shining Blue Rain" under the 5pb. Records label. She quit her agency, ARTSVISION, in 2007, and moved onto Kaleidoscope agency. She is also well known for giving voices to Chihaya Kisaragi in THE iDOLM@STER, Kurisu Makise in Steins;Gate and Tsubaki Yayoi in BlazBlue: Continuum Shift. She also coupled with Kitamura Eri and formed the group ARTERY VEIN which is also under 5pb. Records label.

Trivia

  • Imai Asami is allergic to mangoes and various crustacea;
  • Imai Asami has a spot in the top 57 of the most beautiful seiyuus list, featured in the August 2009 volume of Circus Max. The people in the list were chosen by the male readers of the magazine. The exact spot for each seiyuu is unknown;
  • Imai Asami has a huge thing for the Pokémon Slowpoke. Recently, in the IM@S radio station when they were talking about the release of the HeartGold and SoulSilver games, she stated that her favorite Pokémon was Slowpoke, always stealing and finding all the Slowpoke cards she can get as well as collecting all the figures and toys for it.
