Digital Cover

I've restored the "You" single page to the previous edit. The Digital Cover is different from the Regular Edition, there is a small difference in way the letter's loop together.

Themonkeyofdoom (talk)23:47, 11 February 2018

The term debut can be applied to both an artists first single and first album.

EXILE EXTREME BEST

Hey,

Why did you change the title of EXILE's album? all caps is the correct stylization.

Edit: I just double checked and in fact the album is titled "EXTREME BEST" all caps with no "EXILE"

If you could kindly change it to that (I couldn't for some reason) I would be grateful.

Check the section under Normal Title Romanisation.

Also, you should be romanising song titles before linking them. I see a lot of errors in the pages you made.

Sx3Ne18:23, 1 May 2017

Okay, I'll fix them.

But the "EXILE" part still needs to be dropped as well.

Kaleido3722:09, 1 May 2017

I've moved the page already. Please do fix your mistakes. We always link the romanized names, never the original Japanese title. So instead of putting brackets around a title like 'あなたへ', you would need to put it around the romanised 'Anata e'.

Sx3Ne05:03, 2 May 2017

There are plenty of examples to follow, I even fixed One Song From Two Hearts for you.

Sx3Ne05:05, 2 May 2017

I don't know why I often mix the two up. Sorry for the mistakes.

Kaleido3711:01, 2 May 2017

Just finished fixing the page, hopefully it's okay now.

Sorry for the fuss.

Kaleido3711:37, 2 May 2017

It's alright. Thanks for fixing them

Sora Amamiya - Yumezora/Yumesora Title

Hey,

Saw your comment. I know that when you add the words that Yume sora becomes Yumezora.

But on Amamiya's Skyreach cover, under the title, it says "Coupling with Yumesora". When I noticed it, I changed it.

But if you feel it should be Yumezora, then I don't mind; just letting you know.

Thanks ^^

Chizakura05:12, 26 September 2016

Oh, I actually didn't notice. Ok, I think we should go with "Yumesora" then (:

Empty Information

I think moving forward we should really wait until we have the information before you write about it. I understand that you intend to fill them, but that always isn't the case for every user. I've found dozens of pages with the same blank "song information", external link code, and a ton of old empty Oricon charts. You have to edit the page when the information is disclosed anyways, so why wouldn't you just wait?

themonkeyofdoom07:15, 1 February 2016

I've thought about this too, but it would be easier on us to streamline the process without having to go copy & paste the template.

Sx3Ne08:04, 1 February 2016

That doesn't make any sense. It's like less than a hundred characters. What If there wasn't "catalog number" for a release why would you list it? That's kinda of my point. People are using this type of template, and then never going back to fill in the information.

Themonkeyofdoom08:40, 1 February 2016

If you feel so inclined to exclude them, ok. You should take your concern to someone who is a mod. I honestly think quality control is a lost cause with the amount of active editors we have atm.

I am a moderator, which is why I am telling you this. Honestly if this does anything it improves the "quality control". People are using this type of template to create older single pages for example, then they don't know how to use ORICON STYLE or they just leave it all empty. Even CK's previous single was never "completed". So moving forward, lets do this 😁😁😁

Themonkeyofdoom20:33, 1 February 2016

I have to input, because I am a mod as well, but they are there, even if blank, to be filled in. If you see it's blank rather than removing it, why don't you fill it in.

Revenantsoulx302:47, 2 February 2016

Obviously I don't mean the Oricon charts, very old ones can and should be removed if blank. But generally it's easier to have them there already, because there are users who fill them in daily and weekly. It's also a part of the template. And shouldn't you think about speaking with people rather than just making the call on your own? Especially about moving all of the album pages.

Revenantsoulx302:50, 2 February 2016

The real question is why are we posting blank information? When you post that empty song information you have to go back and fill it in right? It's not saving any time because you're still having to make multiple edits to the page. It looks like a messy fan site when you post that empty information. I shouldn't have to go back and add in all of the information, this should be done when the page is created or when the information is released.

Let's pretend it was a different section of the page. If I didn't have a track list I wouldn't put:

  1. Unknown Song
  2. Unknown Song
  3. Unknown Song

Because that's silly.

Leaving the Oricon chart blank does makes sense for up coming releases, but then again not everything is going to chart within the top thirty. There are different templates on here for Chart's that solely have week rankings and sales.

I've been posting on talk pages about issues I'm finding but I usually don't get a response. No one seems to care until I edit on of "their" pages lol

Again I'm working on a thread in the forum so we can all discuss the issues I'm seeing.

themonkeyofdoom03:15, 2 February 2016

That's fine, I don't mind changing it for the future, my concern is you're doing it without discussing it. So I think the thread idea is good. I was trying to contact you on your talk page but it seems it must be protected because it doesn't work. I'm all for discussing things.

Thanks a bunch

First time working on a wiki page, so thanks for helping touch it up :)

Mamastayfit06:13, 6 November 2015

No problem! C-pop and T-pop edits in general are kind of rare on this wiki so I'm happy to help out (:

Sx3Ne06:20, 6 November 2015

Also, not sure if you know this, but if you're having trouble transliterating some of the Chinese characters, you can always run it through google translate.

Sx3Ne06:25, 6 November 2015

Didn't know that, thanks! :D

Mamastayfit06:38, 6 November 2015

With Canto-pop artists, you can go ahead and use the putonghua reading.

Don't hesitate to ask if you need help with anything!

Sx3Ne07:13, 6 November 2015

Thanks for taking over the front page this week! Life got crazy for me. Haha :)

Revenantsoulx314:59, 11 September 2014

No probs! ^^ I was the one who suggested working together so gotta pull my weight too.
