Information

Inamura Jane is the 10th album released by Southern All Stars. It was released in two formats, CD and cassette. The album was originally released as the soundtrack for the movie of the same title Inamura Jane, directed by Southern All Stars' leader Kuwata Keisuke, however, time later it was officially recognized as an original studio album. It was credited to "Southern All Stars and All Stars" as some of the songs feature guest musicians like Kobayashi Takeshi or guitarist Ogura Hirokazu. The album includes four songs entirely sang in Spanish.

The 2008 reissue was released as a limited edition housed in a digipack. The album reached #1 on Oricon charts, charted for 26 weeks, and sold around 1,173,000 copies in 1990 becoming the #2 album of the year and the first soundtrack album that sold over a million copies in Japan. The 1998 reissue reached #92 on Oricon charts, and charted for one week. The 2008 reissue reached #117 on Oricon charts, and charted for one week.
