In the same year, she also formed pop unit Hamazaki Komine with Hamazaki Takashi, a singer-songwriter who she worked with. They released their debut single "MERRY ~ Nukumori Dake wo Todokete" in October of the same year, one month later, Komine released her third single "Sora ni Saku". The single reached #28 on the Oricon charts and charted for eleven weeks, becoming her best knowing single to date. In January 2008, three year since her debut, she released her debut album Niji'iro no Kotonoha. Despite the success of "Sora ni Saku" and an special interview with Oricon[1], the album only reached #134 on the charts and charted for one week.

By the end of 2008, after finishing Hamazaki Komine's debut album, it was announced that Komine will come back as a solo singer by performing the two insert songs for the anime Kurogane no Linebarrels. In April 2009, Komine released her fourth single "Suteki na Kajitsu", ending theme to the anime Ristorante Paradiso.
