On January 28th, 2009, her debut single "Open Your eyes" was released. To promote the single, Nishino recorded videos for both the title track and "Let it go", the B-side. The single also contained the song "Nobody's Perfect", a cover of Miley Cyrus's song of the same name.

After her debut single, she was asked to write the ending theme of tv show HEY! HEY! HEY!, titled "Break away".
