"Sousei no Aquarion" is the debut single released by AKINO. The title track was used as the first opening theme for the anime Sousei no Aquarion while "Pride ~ Nageki no Tabi" is its insert song. The single reached #22 on the Oricon charts and charted for 54 weeks, selling 77,048 copies.
The song is known for its popularity in 2007 by topping download charts. Due to its popularity, a new version of "Sousei no Aquarion" titled "Sousei no Aquarion (Element Gattai Ver.)" performed by various seiyuus was released on November 17, 2007. In 2009, it received the Silver Award in 2009 JASRAC Awards[1].
