THE ORIGIN is Infinite's first instrumental album. "BTD" is used as the lead track for the album. The album is made up of three CDs, black, white, and gold, and with a total of ten songs per CD. It contains Infinite's most notable tracks in instrumental form. On April 1st, 30,000 limited editions were printed for the pre-order period and all copies were sold out within the first day. Limited edition includes a randomly selected special coin and score book.
"THE ORIGIN" marks the first Korean idol instrumental album ever released in Korea.
