"WAKU WAKU Sasete" is Nakayama Miho's eighth single. The title track was used as the theme song for the dorama Namaiki Zakari which Nakayama starred in. The song also helped Nakayama to win the Superiority Song Award at the FNS Kayousai. "WAKU WAKU Sasete" would be later covered by other artists like MAX and Momoi Kaori. The single reached #3 on the weekly Oricon charts and charted for 15 weeks, selling over 237,000 copies. The single also reached #17 on the yearly Oricon chart for 1987.
A 12-inch remix single was released a month later. That version reached #22 on the weekly Oricon charts and charted for 8 weeks, selling over 29,000 copies.
