Information

meg aimed to become a singer since childhood, and singing was her favorite hobby. When an acquaintance recommended Ella Fitzgerald's cover of "Night and Day" to her, meg immediately took an interest in jazz music. She began to take lessons under the wing of Maruyama Shigeo, and her vocal ability and power of expression improved greatly. meg began performing in districts of Tokyo like Ginza and Shibuya and gained herself a fanbase from her outgoing character and fashionable performances.

In April 2006, her cover of "Where I Want To Be" was used in a Yakult Beautiens commercial, and for her album Grace released later that year, she worked with arrangers Moriya Junko and Miki Toshio to further her big band sound.
