"Daechwita" is a song recorded by Agust D. It can be found as track #2 on his second mixtape D-2, for which it was used as title track. It samples "Daechwita" performed by the National Gugak Center Court Music Orchestra.
Music Video
The music video for "Daechwita" was released on May 22nd, the same day as the release of the mixtape.
It shows Agust D as both a king and a beggar double. The king is set to represent the "old" Agust D whilst the double is the "new" Agust D. They confront each other throughout the video. At the end, the double is supposed to be executed; but instead, he makes a deal with the executioner and kills the king.
The music video is full of temporal contrasts. The surroundings and building are all from the Silla-era, but he uses modern objects such as a car or a gun.
Two of his BTS' bandmates, Jin and Jungkook, make a cameo appearance in one of the scenes.
