"Heart of Gold (demo)" is the fifth digital single released by Haru Nemuri. It was released for only one day, June 19th (Juneteenth) 2020. She released it through the Bandcamp of Ill take U Entertainment Co., Ltd. because on that day, Bandcamp announced they would donate all proceeds of music to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. Haru intentionally released the song for a limited time on this day only so she could help raise money for the cause.
On the download page for the song, the lyrics were posted with a translation done by Haru Nemuri herself, along with the description: "On June 19th (PDT), HARU NEMURI release a new song Heart of Gold (demo) for just one day on Bandcamp and the sales will be all donated for Black community 💐🌸 #BlackLivesMatter".
This demo version had lyrics and music written by Haru Nemuri, and was produced by her as well.
The full version of the song was eventually included on her second full album, Shunka Ryougen, as track #13.
