Profile

Information

Umemura was born in Tokyo, Japan, the eldest daughter of three siblings (a younger brother and a younger sister). After moving to Hyogo, she moved to Indonesia, where she spent her middle school days. This allowed her to learn and speak Indonesian. In junior high school she wanted to form a band, but she wasn't in a situation where she could form one right away in Indonesia. Instead, she decided to start playing some musical instruments for the time being. She chose drums because it wasn't a stringed instrument, since she had already played violin, and began to practice by herself when she was in the second year of junior high.

After returning to Japan, Umemura took the entrance examination for a high school with a light music club, and there formed a girls band during her first year. She did a couple covers of songs before the club was unfortunately suspended. She formed a new band and played covers of JUDY AND MARY songs, but the band naturally fell out during her second year. She ended up not touching the drums for about a year until she entered college and met Yoshida Sumire and former another band.

Umemura originally became interested in the entertainment world because of a scout, and started working as an exclusive model at the end of her third year of high school.
