== Information ==

In 1996 Yuki created the band Strawberry Kids with her friends [[Kawamura Erika]] (also her cousin), [[Mizusawa Rimi]], [[Hasegawa Yukari]], and [[Inatsuki Aya]]. This was the beginning of what would soon be known as [[Whiteberry]] nationwide. The band made their debut in 1999 with the mini-album [[Afterschool|afterschool]], and their single to follow, [[Yuki|YUKI]], became a smash hit. The band covered [[Natsu Matsuri|Natsu Matsuri]] in 2000; this single sold over 800,000 copies. The same year the band participated in NHK's [[Kohaku]]. In total, Whiteberry releases 13 singles, five albums, and six DVDs before disbanding in March 2004 for the members to pursue other things like school.

However, Yuki began her career as a solo artist in 2005 under the stagename "yukki" and released her first solo mini-album one year later.
