The duo likes to focus on Miyo's vocals as an instrument and on the electronic/ambient sounds that Honda creates. They also take great pride in their effort to keep most of the songs "Japanese". Miyo hardly ever uses English words in her lyrics for she loves the sound of her native tongue.

Information

Coo:ya first formed in the late nineties when a producer introduced the two to eachother. After they met they decided to form a duo out of fun and it ended up on being a lasting project. They like to describe their work as "music [that] expresses the Yin and the Yang of human emotions, not limited to one genre or style."
