South Border is a 7-member R&B Group which is called "the premiere R&B band of the Philippines". They had been in Philippine limelight since 1996 but it wasn't in 2004 that they really hit it big.

Information
The band have been in active since 1996, but wasn't as popular as they are now due to many competitions (Side A, Parokya ni Edgar, Eraserheads). Nevertheless, they were able to achieve hit singles such as Kahit Kailan, May Pag-ibig pa kaya?, and Love of my Life.
In 2004, after they had changed vocalists twice due to legal problems, they finally reached smashing success with the song Rainbow. After the song, they were quickly labeled as the premiere R&B band. Hits after hits followed suit. They became a regular in the Sunday-Variety-Concert-Show SOP and was given the opportunity to sing most of GMA Network's primetime TV Series.
Last April 2, 2006, SOP announced their departure from the show due to their then upcoming U.S. Concert Tour. The band also announced that they might choose to stay there for good to try their luck breaking into US music scene and they are being supported their record label Sony-BMG.
