Produce 48 (프로듀스 48) is a joint survival competition between Japanese pop group AKB48 and the Korean pop Mnet series Produce 101. It was announced during the 2017 Mnet Asian Music Awards. No specifics have been given about the project, other than the airing date of 2018.
It had previously been rumored that the third season of Produce 101 would feature girls and would be collaborating with AKB48.
