sora tob sakana was formed in July 2014 consisting of five girls, Sato Mio, Teruaguchi Natsuka, Konishi Yuiko, Kazama Ray Malaika, and Kanzaki Fuka. The group is the second unit from Frappe Idol Project, and they are produced by Yoshimasa Terui.

The girls performed as the opening act of SiAM&POPTUNe live in July 2014. In September that same year, they released their first original song "Dash!!!!".

Konishi Yuiko graduated from the group in February 2015, and Yamazaki Mana joined a few days later. They held their first one-man live in July, during which Sato Mio announced her graduation. In August, the group signed with the Fujiyama Project Japan label, and their first single "Yozora wo Zenbu" was released in October.
