CDTV, short for "COUNTDOWN TV", is a late night music show on the Tokyo Broadcasting System.
The show is hosted by three computer generated characters. They present the top 50 songs in Japan for the week, along with information on upcoming singles, albums and more. Sometimes artists appear on the television screen behind the hosts to say a few words about their new single and introduce the PV or a live performance.
