In 2010, girls from 10-20 years old were welcome to audition for a new idol group based in Ehime where they would revitalize the prefecture. 14 successful applicants were picked in August of that same year, and they were divided into two groups of 7. One would make Hime Kyun Fruit Can, while the other would be Hina Kyun Fruit Can, the trainee group. Two trainees, Tanio Sakurako and Kikuhara Yuria, ended up being promoted to Hime Kyun.

During the months of May and June, Hina Kyun trainees Yamaoka Rin, Kawabata Manami and Tanaka Sahara graduated from the group. The remaining trainee Ohara Ayu and new trainee Kadota Mayu joined together to form nanoCUNE, Hina Kyun’s new trainee sister group.
