Information
She started acting at the age of 3 where she joined declamation contests and joined a drama club. Buencamino studied at Philippine High School for the Arts where she accept the Maria Scholarship to study at the University of the Philippines and graduated with Theater Arts (Major in Acting). In 1985, she won in the British Council Shakespeare Competition where she started her successful career as a theater actress. Her performances on stage includes Troyanas, Hudhud, Oedipus Rex, The Crucible, Cyrano de Bergerac, Three Sisters, Batang Pro, Noli Me Tangere, Memorandum, Atang and her award-winning role of Madonna Brava: Mother Full of Courage.
Her acting credits in film includes The Dolzura Cortez Story, Kung Ako'y Iiwan Mo, Hiling, Nag-iisang Bituin, Kiss Mo 'Ko, Kahit Isang Saglit, Crying Ladies, Mga Munting Tinig, In My Life, One More Chance, Ang Cute ng Ina Mo, Babe I Love You at Cinco.
Her TV acting credits includes Maalaala Mo Kaya, Star Drama Theater, Saan Ka Man Naroroon, Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan, SineSerye Presents Hiram na Mukha, Precious Hearts Romance, Love Spell, Prinsesa ng Banyera at Pepeng Agimat under ABS-CBN 2.
