Maria is a four-member idol group that formally started its activities on December 1st, 2013. The group's trademarks are their sunglasses and randoseru (school bags used by Japanese primary school students) and their concept is Playful Rock Girls (ちゃめRock Girls).

History

Maria was formed in 2013 and originally had 14 members. During the year, a survival audition was held amongst the members of the group and on December 1st, 2013, the chosen members were revealed. These members were aona, lala, minori, rinarina, seika and mei.

The group, with its new members, started its activities on April 26th of the following year. On April 22nd, 2015, Maria's debut single, Hurricane/Geba, was released.
