d-trance promoting the single "Smile again" (2008)

d-trance is a Japanese pop idol group. The group formed in 2003 with the members rieko and yoko as a trance-themed group. They released their first single on June 2003, entitled "d-trance 02", on the indies label ARENA RECORDS. Then in 2006, chie was added to the group before the group released the single "See you again" on the label Shikisai RECORDS.

In 2008, rieko decided to quit the group and a new member, yoshimi, replaced her. The new formation released the single "Happy Go Go". Then two months later, yoko graduated from the group at the live show The Live Memorial 2008.5.18 in LiveHouse FAB. With yoko gone, the group decided to let ria to join the group before the release of the single "Smile again". ayana also joined the group a little while later before the release of the single "alive" on September 2009. A year later, after the release of the single "stay", chie graduated from the group.
